Treatment #4

We walk in every Friday with a pit in our stomachs and an ache in our hearts. Not sure what news we may get or how she will react the following days from her chemotherapy.

Evelyn did good walking in today. She is starting to trust that we aren't staying each time. She even asked to see her surgeon (he wasn't there). She has gained 1-1/2 lbs since we left the hospital, which is great. Still another 1-1/2 lbs to her prehospital weight, but we are getting there.

To check her blood work and liver function, they wanted to prick her finger. that didn't go over well. Lots of tears. Finally, I had to get my finger pricked first, then E let them do her. All of her blood work came back mostly normal.

This week she got the A and V medicines. The first time with both together. The A is the harsher of the two and can have nauseau and drop her counts making her more susceptible to infections. Now we wait and see how she does.

She is always so happy when we are done. This picture was taken walking to the car, holding daddy's hand.
