Evelyn was still complaining about her eyes being "fuzzy." The oncologist recommended we see a pediatric ophthalmologist. We went this morning and had our own private waiting room to stay away from other kids germs. E was nervous about having blood drawn. We explained multiple times that wasn't going to happen. I was nervous about what they'd find (my standard state these days = worried).
They did the eye exam with black and white pictures of things she hasn't seen in her lifetime: rotary dial telephone, etc. She wouldn't talk to the doctor. Understandably, she's a little gun shy of what they are going to do to her. She has 20/20 vision. Phew, no glasses! Next they dilated her eyes. She did not like that at all. The doctor looked in her eyes and said everything was perfect. No swelling or bulges (He was probably scared to say the "tumor" word) or anything to indicate the need for a head scan.
After a clean bill of health, E got these fancy shades. Audrey wanted to try them out too. Still, we don't know why she is complaining of fuzzy vision. Guess we will see if it continues to be an issue or if the oncologist recommends any additional of tests.
