Evelyn had a really good weekend. She threw up once Saturday morning and after that she was really good. A friend came to visit Saturday, "baby" Elizabeth. She is getting too big to still be calling "baby." They played dress up and had a grand time. It was nice to see E so happy.
She has said a few things lately that hit home how she is trying to process everything that is happening. Thursday night she asked when she was going to "get well." Friday night she said "My friends don't want to play with me because I am sick." Both of these made our hearts ache. We keep explaining to her that her friends love her and want to play with her but we have to be careful not to get her sick. She seems to understand. Plus having Elizabeth come play on Saturday was reassuring (We hope).
Kevin and I have come to the realization that we need to find more "normal" things to let her do, as long as they don't compromise her health. Should be an interesting balance to figure out. For now, she is happy and smiley. The side effects are still minimal. All positives. We'll hold onto those!
